Early Days

Only a year or two ago I learned that I have a BA degree – in English, achieved in 1976. I always suspected that I had it, but since I didn’t go to the graduation ceremony or pick up a diploma, I was never quite sure. The subject has never come up -- no employer or editor has ever asked me if I have a degree.
