Raconteur Press is doing yeoman work in this area, bringing back not only the old pulp feel, but internal illustrations and "advertisements." And it makes conscious effort to publish new writers that show talent and potential.

Thanks, I hadn't heard of Raconteur Press! I'll check 'em out!

This is especially true in subgenres not well served by the major publishers. I can think of half a dozen small publishing houses and magazines aimed at fans of the #PulpRevolution, milSF, and young adult fiction that's aimed at young men.

Can you post a list here of them?

I've dealt with PS Publishing, Tachyon Publications, Subterranean Press, and Charnel House, but I don't think those take unsolicited submissions. Here are a couple of likely looking lists, though:

Thank you for that, sir.

I love what British publishers Wizard’s Tower Press and NewCon Press publish.

Amazing to see how so many great sci-fi authors of the mid-20th century got the opportunities from small presses and magazines. One convenient side effect is that many of those works are in the public domain now, free for all of us to enjoy at our leisure.

Thank you for highlighting some of them. Will be a huge help later on

Indeed! They are unsung heroes of imaginative writing.

Sound advice, thank you.
